Valhalla Jervis Bay 2.77

In ancient Norse mythology, Valhalla is the most majestic abode in the City of Gods (Asgard), ruled over by the king-pin god Odin, who throughout the year will welcome the most honourable warriors to reside and feast alongside him. According to the 13th century scripture Poetic Edda, Valhalla is overlooking magical waters, surrounded by enchanted forests with eagles and ravens keeping watch overhead. And even though Odin himself only consumes wine and rather donates his food to his loyal canines, he maintains that there is never too many to feed in Valhalla, with food and wine fit for Kings and Jarls. Odin’s most famous son Thor also has his own celestial gallery in Valhalla, from which his occasional play with lightening can be thoroughly admired.

So even though Jervis Bay may seem far away from the Nordic roots of the Norse mythology, all these features and more can certainly be found in the house and its divine Jervis Bay surroundings.
