Benvenuti a Valentino’s Espresso Bar!

We first opened our doors in May 2012 and since then my family and I have
brought a small taste of Italy to Camden.
Whether it be coffee, cannoli, arancini or cannelloni, everything you taste is made right here,
bringing fresh home-made Italian food that will always get your taste buds dancing.
Together as a family, we have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years
delivering food the way Nonna would cook it.

Teresa, my mother, to the surprise of a lot of people is not the main cook here,
but her smile and friendly nature will leave you always feeling welcomed to her home.

Tonino, my father, or as I like to call him ‘The Angry Chef’ is the main cook here,
at home and everywhere else we go. The reason I call him ‘The Angry Chef’ is because, in his kitchen everything must be perfect all the time and if one little thing goes wrong, THATS IT! In saying this, his cheeky smile and character is one you have to get to know.
Since my father migrated to Australia he has worked in many restaurants and had a few too.
His passion and love for food is presented not only when you get him talking about it but also on the dish that he serves up for you. From standing by his Nonna’s side as a child back in Calabria, Italy, he mastered his love for food and has been dishing it up ever since.

As for me, I’m here to help the famiglia establish a place we want
our customers to call home.
