DESEXED KITTENS from $1200
BREEDING KITTENS TO REGISTERED BREEDERS ONLY, POA

++++ KITTENS supplied with registered pedigree papers. Kittens leave for new homes litter trained, having been vet checked, desexed, vaccinated once (due again at approx 14 - 16 weeks old), microchipped, wormed fortnightly and flea treated. Entire kittens available to registered breeders only (POA).

We are small home based registered breeders at Everton Park Brisbane with over 22 years animal breeding experience. Previously specialising in Siberian Husky puppies for over 21 years, 8 years ago we were introduced to the wonderful world of Maine Coons.

Our adults and babies are raised in a loving family environment; we DO NOT raise or house our kittens in outside or in out-of-the-way enclosures. They spend their first 2 - 3 weeks living in our bedroom and then they are raised within our home with our 5 children and 5 cats and our 2 Siberian Huskies just outside the back screen door. This allows us to nurture healthy, secure, outgoing and affectionate kittens with very impressive temperaments.

Our extended family consists of 2 adult Siberian Huskies, 4 Maine Coon Cats, 1 Manx Cat, 2 guinea pigs, a cockatiel and many fish. Kittens are raised in a very busy home!

Registered breeders with the Queensland Feline Association (QFA). In Brisbane, Breeder Registration is essential to legally breed and sell pedigree kittens. Petshops, kennels, breeders and individuals are all required to be registered.

Our lines incorporate quality bloodlines producing some of the many beautiful variants of colour and markings of the Maine Coon.

A $100 deposit is asked to secure a position on our waiting list for upcoming litters (breeders have first pick and other buyers choose in order of deposit down). With another $100 payment on choosing a particular kitten from an litter and the remainder due just before desexing at around 10 weeks.

Transport quotes can be arranged for interstate buyers but generally range between $120 and $300 for kittens and $200 - $350 for puppies including travel crate.

A BIT OF INFORMATION ABOUT BUYING THAT VERY YOUNG, CHEAP (BUT CUTE) KITTEN OR PUPPY FROM AN UNREGISTERED BREEDER.

The price many experienced and ethical breeders charge seems expensive to average person. Keep in mind when buying from a registered breeder (especially a home/family registered breeder) you will receive a well socialised pet that has been fed high quality food, kept healthy, has a predictable nature and appearance and also peace of mind that it has been raised in an safe and ethical way. Purchasing a pet from a 'backyard breeder', pet shop or a seller trying to get rid of an unplanned litter can be costly in the long run.

Keep in mind also that it is illegal for ANY PERSON OR BUSINESS to giveaway or sell a kitten or puppy that is not microchipped (local councils require ALL people to microchip kittens, cats, puppies and dogs before re-homing them).

So the bargain kitten at $100 turns into a not so bargain that could cost many $$$$

So if you can't afford to buy a kitten or puppy from a registered breeder, then PLEASE contact a humane animal society to buy a healthy and desexed pet because you can't afford to buy from a backyard breeder either.

'Stop the cycle of accidental and unethical breeding'.
