Upstairs @ the Nic is focused on sourcing produce as locally as possible, building relationships with local growers and business to promote seasonal and sustainable dinning.

The menu has been constructed with the locals and regulars in mind, and whilst it is shorter than the average menu, 2-3 items will change on a fortnightly basis, allowing the restaurant to utilise produce when it is in the peak of its season.

The layout of the menu gives the diner the opportunity to enjoy a traditional dining experience of Entrée, Main, Dessert. Alternatively, a contemporary dining experience is offered where multiple dishes may be shared, for those who wish to explore the menu in depth.

Rather than supplying the diner with an overwhelming beverage menu, we have instead hand selected a refined list of Victorian handcrafted beer and local boutique wines, which will change regularly to compliment the seasonal food menu. In doing so, we hope to showcase the best of what the region has to offer. However as we are on site at the beautiful Hotel Nicholas, if the beverages are not quite your style, your needs can easily be met.

Our vision is to create a contemporary dining experience, provided to you by passionate staff, which can be enjoyed by all. Diners will experience a range of eclectic variety of music, ranging from the classics, Simon and Garfunkel, Rodriguez, Credence Clear Water Revival to Jack Johnson, Hermitude and Jamiroquai.
