I have been making unusual cakes in access of 25. Coming from a german heritage, baking copious amounts of sweets is simply in my blood.
As a qualified Food safety Supervisor I carry all my work out in a safe environment that meets with Food Safety Standards and council regulations.

We understand how some prefer to SMS us or speak over the phone. Email is our preferred medium for the following reasons:
1) Our hands are usually sticky, sculpting cakes or shaping fondant.
2) Instructions and details can be missed, forgotten or misunderstood especially over a phone call.
3) Email allows us time to research and think over your request so that we can give you a thought-out and reliable response
4) We ALWAYS answer our emails, even if it is to say that we cannot take on your order, but we may miss your call (too long to wash our hands and then dry them and then find the phone)

Our Guarantee
We promise to do everything in our power to deliver you a cake that exceeds your expectations. We will work with you on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your cake. Please note that colors and design of actual cake may vary slightly from computer mock-up due to the nature of digital and edible components.

We provide you with an obligation free order / quote sheet outlining all details including a picture if available of your cake with all relevant information listed you agree that certain creative changes may be made to your final design for the sake of stability, structural integrity or other certain emergencies. By returning a signed copy together with a 50% non refundable deposit you agree to the terms set out therein.

We can match your theme, invitation or even a person, dress or pet. Provide the date and send a picture for a quote . Unique displays with cupcakes and cake pops, the newest
gorgeous treats out there.


Edible decorations are made by Omis' Customised Toppers a subsidury of Unusual and amazing cakes whereever possible and are made with quality edible Sugarpaste or Modelling Chocolate embelished & enhanced with food safe non toxic food colours and glitters. Some larger flowers eg Magnolia may contain wire or Toothpicks to provide additional hold. But as of 1st November all our Childrens cake toppers will be 100% edible and do not contain props such as wire, toothpicks or styrofoam. This is limited to pickup cake toppers, and cake toppers up to 12 cm in height only.


The cakes I use are Butter cakes as opposed to sponge cakes , which are normally used for cream cakes. Butter cakes are a little sweeter, richer and heavier on the tongue and stomach. The reason I use butter cakes in my 3D, Novelty and sculpture cakes is because they are denser and more tightly crumbed which makes them easier to sculpt and it holds the weight of fondant much better.

Chocolate Mud, White Mud, Vanilla Sponge or Buttercake


Frosting (the stuff between the fondant and cake):
I use dark chocolate ganache (55% to 70% cocoa)*** for frosting as opposed to butter cream. Dark chocolate works better for our humidity, as it doesn’t cause the fondant to “sweat”.

** What is Buttercream?
Buttercream (choose from Italian Meringue Butter Cream or Traditional) is a mixture of Vegetable shortening, butter and sugar and the Meringue Buttercream it also includes eggwhites. I make my buttercream Traditional (mock cream style) or "Italian meringue" style, which is light and fluffy in texture. It is different from freshly whipped cream, which cannot hold up once taken out from the fridge.

Traditional eg chocolate, Vanilla, Butterscotch, Almond, coconut and peppermint
Unusual flavours such as Fairy Floss , Musk Bubblegum
To exotic Malibu, Tia Maria, Creme de monthe or Rum or Butterscotch Liquer (all alcohol free on request) to almost any flavour you desire. Ask and we will do our best to oblige.
Cream Cheese (Only Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese used - requires addition 10% extra over the price quoted)

*** What is Ganache?
Ganache is a rich, thick chocolate filling made from melted dark chocolate and cream. I prefer to use ganache as a frosting instead of buttercream because the former holds up better in our type of humidity and weather, and it gives a cleaner and smoother finishing.

Current three most popular pairings (not in order of popularity)
1. Rainbow layers with vanilla or chocolate chip cream (there is additional 10% charge for colored cakes)
2. Triple Chocolate cake with Chocolate Chip buttercream
3. Chocolate Mudcake with white Ganache, chocolate Fondant and Marzipan

The remainder is due a minimum of two weeks prior to your delivery if the event is at a venue. Or it may be paid on the day of the event, should you opt for pickup.

Basic Price List
Because my cakes are completely custom made and priced individually, I do not have a standard price list

However, the base price of each cake begins with the serving size. The final price varies from customer-to-customer depending on the complexity of the design.
For party of 10 to 15 - budget $15.90 upwards per serving
For party of 15 to 25 - budget $10 upwards per serving
For party of 30 to 40 - budget $8 upwards per serving
For party of 50 to 60 - budget $ 7 upwards per serving

- Our smallest single tier is a 6" round (serves 10-15) - $159 upwards
- Our smallest two tier is a 5" round over 7" round (serves 25-30) - $229 upwards
- Our smallest three tier is 5" round over 7" round over 9" round (serves 50-60) - $389 upwards
- Our smallest 3D sculpted cakes (cars, cameras, bags etc) serves 25-30 - budget $300 upwards



A general cupcake price guide would be:
1) Standard Size cupcakes with a buttercream swirl $4
2) Cupcakes with a buttercream swirl and a small fondant topper $5 to $8
3) Fondant covered cupcakes / cupcakes with buttercream swirls with 2D designs cost between $8 to $12.
4) Fondant covered cupcakes with 3D designs cost from $10 upwards.
5) For cupcakes with a filligree wrapper add $1 per cupcake. As a cost effective but gorgeous option customers can choose to get 3 to 6 Intricately designed cupcakes and the remainder with only glitter or colored buttercream swirls.


Payment Plans
I have a payment plan available for budget conscious couples for fortnightly or weekly payments payble only by paypal to ensure receipts are issued and easy tracking

Cancellations
In the event a cancellation takes place , unless there are extreme and extenuating circumstances involved your deposit is not refundable. .Dates and details of your cake order may be changed to avoid loss of refund providing it is no later than 14 day prior delivery date. Changes to orders after that time will incur an additional charge.

Late Orders
Cake orders placed with less than 2 weeks notice require full and immediate payment.

Delivery
Delivery to local Hervey Bay (within a 5km radius of Hervey Bay CBD) area is included in the pricing. Other deliveries are calculated by km's traveled, quote calculated upon receipt of delivery address. I do not ship my cakes.

Photos
Photos are taken of all my cakes at time of construction and again at final assembly and I reserve full rights to utilise those for advertising or promotions at my discretion.
Copies are available free of charge at request only to all customers and send via email.

Disclaimer
In the case of an emergency or an error in your cake delivery, please contact us immediately so we can fix the issue right away! If you are unhappy with your cake for any reason, please call us the day of your event and explain the situation. In the rare case that you are unhappy with your cake and would like a refund, you must call the day of your event so your cake can be returned. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for your event, we will be unable to refund any portion of your payment. This is necessary to hinder the very rare case of “If we complain, we’ll get a free cake” issue we occasionally come across. We are dedicated to satisfying our clients cake requirements.
