The Love Lettery, is a unique creative offering combining a love of words and old-fashioned romance with a focus on South Australian made gifts and objects.

The shop was launched in November 2015 by two PR professionals, Ella Walker and Sonia Mir, with the Renew Adelaide program providing an opportunity for the first-time entrepreneurs to test their unorthodox retail idea.

Originally inspired by a Johnny Cash quote, The Love Lettery is a multi-faceted retail space offering an in-house wordsmith service to help tongue-tied lovers pen words of affection. The unique business model has attracted local and nation media attention, featuring on The Project, the Today Show, Weekend Sunrise and Mornings on Channel Nine.

The Love Lettery is based on a philosophy of showcasing and supporting local artists and makers and building a connected network for emerging creatives. The Adelaide shop front provides a space for local creatives - think,
jewellery, fragrance, skincare, candles, planters, gift cards and more - to stock their products and to connect with the broader community.

The Love Lettery has a liquor license to enable
the sale of local SA boutique wines, beers and ciders. The ultimate accompaniment to a perfectly penned love letter or gift.
