Reading without reflecting is like eating without digesting. Being able to engage critically and deeply with literature is a skill that is invaluable. The every day application of these skills improves every day interactions, no matter what your business or trade.

More importantly, stories can take you anywhere. Books are a ticket to places that some of us will never, ever have the opportunity to visit. Being able to experience those journeys fully is one of life's real pleasures.

For our kids, NAPLAN and ACER data shows that QLD school children struggle to perform well on questions that involve predicting, inferring and interpreting. Our classes use art, drama, story telling and music to bring stories to life, even for the most reluctant of readers. Our teacher is a qualified secondary teacher and counsellor who is experienced in the teaching of reading and writing and excels at the engagement of highly disengaged students.
