The Graduate Centre in Governance and International Affairs offers postgraduate programs in International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Governance and Public Policy. The Centre also houses the School’s RHD students and the Rotary Centre for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution, one of only six in the world.
Head of School, Associate Professor Richard Devetak said the Centre offers students the opportunity to be part of a collaborative learning hub - “The focus is on enhancing the student experience, extending learning beyond the classroom and exposing students to an international community of scholars and practitioners. Students will have opportunities to participate in interactive group activities and learning simulations; to build skills, and to avail themselves of international exchange and internship opportunities.There are also masterclasses and research engagement opportunities with UQ and visiting academics.”
