In 1858 the idea for a social club for Geelong and Western District men was floated by Geelong Wool Brokers and their Western District wool growing clients. This was a concept borrowed from the hallowed Gentlemans Clubs of London. In 1989 the building known as the Geelong Club was built and has been a private Club ever since.
In more recent times we have become a wedding and event venue . The building , rich in style, heritage and history is a unique oasis in the middle of town. Nowhere else in the heart of the City can you find such a tranquil, private and classic place with a private walled garden , perfect for the most discerning of clientele.
