We believe each unique piece of furniture or artwork has a story to tell.
Daniel Koles is the craftsman and designer at The Fiddle Back Gallery and is also a Carpenter / Joiner by trade with 17+ years experience.
Daniel's main interests are working with rare and unique, reclaimed or sustainable timbers that are highly figured and have unique characteristics such as, birdseye, butt, curly, burl, swirl, mottle, stripe, cluster or our favorite, fiddleback features.
Almost all our furniture has a natural , organic edge as we feel it maintains the history & natural curvature of the timber.
We have many timber varieties, some of our favorites being, Red Gum, Red Box, Blue Gum, River She-oak, Peppermint, Rosewood just to name a few.
Our timbers are finished with high quality oils and varnishes to bring out the incredible coloring of each unique piece.
We are excited to uncover the many secrets hidden within the wood grain & bring those stories to you and future generations of the families who will love them.
