Introducing to Balmain, The Cottage - Bar and Kitchen – a wine bar that feels like grandma’s farmhouse, only with a significantly better drinks trolley, and more than a lemon wedge to go with it.

Three mates Rob, Chris and Os have put their heads together with designers Luchetti Krelle (of Momofuku Seiobo, Chimmichurri, Hinky Dinks and Sake fame), and have created a warm and friendly space that complements Balmain’s rustic heritage. The Cottage will be a wine and food lovers haunt.

The boys love for wine has produced a comprehensive yet approachable wine list with some quirky twists, and they’ll make you feel right at home while you sip on grapes from the Australian regions you know and love or, if you’re feeling a little exotic, they can recommend some top drops from around the globe.

But what about the food? "We want you to share your taste experiences, so we’ve designed a menu of delicious share plates and pizzas, cooked in our really big wood fire pizza oven – seriously, it’s huge!”

In the pub laden streets of this great old wharfie suburb, The Cottage, will find its niche. Drop in for a drink and plate and meet the guys.
