The Channon Village, NSW 3.98

The Channon is a picturesque hinterland village in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. The closest major centre is Lismore, which is about 20 km to the south-east and Byron Bay is about 40 km to the east. The Channon is part of the City of Lismore and lies approximately midway between Lismore CBD and the village of Nimbin.

The Channon is regionally significant for its proximity to Protesters Falls in the Nightcap National Park and the long-running The Channon Craft Market held on the second Sunday of every month. Opera is also performed in the village annually in July or August under the banner of Opera in The Channon.
