Your short detour off the Pacific Highway to Gloucester, Stroud and Krambach via The Bucketts Way is one of the state’s oldest tourist drives, and for good reasons: short scenic drives around the district take you to dramatic mountain ranges, breathtaking views, beautiful valleys and platypus-filled rivers.
Tourist Drive 2 was proclaimed in 1961 and takes visitors in a scenic loop off the Pacific Highway from 12 Mile Creek in the south near Raymond Terrace to Tinonee in the north before rejoining the Pacific Highway near Taree.
On the way you'll discover a pretty necklace of small towns and villages adorning the productive farming valleys surrounded by forested mountain tops.
Stroud, Gloucester and Krambach are historic country towns on The Bucketts Way with remarkable scenic backdrops, heritage buildings, boutique-style shopping experiences and impressive sightseeing opportunities. And no traffic lights!
So for a more enjoyable journey along the legendary Pacific Coast driving route, take the scenic detour of Tourist Drive 2: The Bucketts Way.
