Visitor Information Centres across Australia are staffed by motivated and knowledgeable volunteers that offer the visitor regional expertise and a friendly greeting.

In Queensland there are 115 accredited VICs and over 2700 volunteers who make up the expert workforce that serve 2.9 million visitors.

Stanthorpe Visitor Information Centre services include an online accommodation booking service.

The centre supervisors take temperature and weather readings from the onsite weather station at 9am and 3pm each day and enter their collected data into the Bureau of Meteorology database, which is then displayed inside the centre.

The souvenir and gift shop stocks a vast assortment of local Granite Belt products - soaps and natural body products, lavender, jams and sauces. Come in and have a good browse around the shop.
