SparkleRyda Photography 2.1

SparkleRyda Photography are husband and wife team Tony and Tina Ellis, and we are pleased to welcome you to our website. Our primary love is portrait photography in all its forms, be it wedding, corporate, event or standard portraits. We particularly love taking photos in a photojournalistic approach, which we consider provides more natural smiles, poses and reactions. We find that particularly with children, this approach yields beautiful, creative results, with comments from parents along the lines of “That’s her real smile. I can never get that on camera!"


Our craft is important to us, as are the relationships we build with our clients. We love the word of mouth referrals we get from our satisfied customers. We take great satisfaction from and are humbled that we've been chosen to shoot a couple’s wedding, then come back for pregnancy photos, and then the baby photos. These relationships are precious to us. Our wedding shoots have ranged from formal events being held at the Hyatt to simpler backyard weddings, and it is important to us that we cater to as many weddings as we can. We shoot weddings, portraits, parties, and have extensive experience shooting corporate events, with our shots ending up in The Chronicle and The Canberra Times. Our events work has ranged from Charity events such as MS Australia and Camp Quality, to political events with the Hon Julie Bishop MP.


Why are we called SparkleRyda? The name is a mix of our internet nicknames (what can I say: All the good ones were taken!), and shows our commitment to each other and our photography. SparkleRyda is pronounced along the lines of SparkleRider :)
