BIO - Peter Winston Rich.
SYDNEY: Born & raised in Sydney.
• Trained classical, jazz and rock musician.
• Private studies with John Robinson and Carl Orr.
• Radio programmer for ABC.
• Accredited songwriter with major credits (Matt Finish etc).
• Professional guitarist on national tours - Andy Gibb, ‘Doc’ Neeson, Gypsy Rose, Fetish, Tough Luxury, Rose Tattoo, Sweet, Roxus and many other supports.
• Recording artist with major album & TV credits - Matt Finish, MTV, Rage,
Castle Music, Ray Martin Show, Newsworld....
• Formally trained graphic designer positioned with leading Sydney agencies publishers & art studios, including positions as art director with major publishers such as Showcast & Encore.
BATEMANS BAY:
• Graphic design for leading local businesses ie Campbell Page, L.J.Hookers.
• Professional guitar tutor, privately and in house at Carroll College & St. Peters.
• 3 times former executive member of the Batemans Bay Chamber of Commerce.
• St. Cecilia Music Scholarship ex officiate.
• Event Co ordinator contracted to the Chamber of Commerce,
producing the Olympic Torch Relay entertainment, Y2K Concert,
Skate park opening, Centenary Celebrations, High School Business Expo,
Festival of the Sea (6,000 + attendence), Band Wars, Business Awards.
• Recipient of the Queens’ Centenary Medal for public events.
• Co founder of the Batemans Bay Blues Club, performing with and bringing such acts as Phil Emmanuel, Kevin Borich and the ‘Bondi Cigars’ to Batemans Bay.
Co founder of long running popular south coast bands ‘NOiZBOIZ’ & ‘FUNKENSTIEN’.
• Founder and musical director of the ‘BLUE MEENIES’ student band,
appearing at many south coast functions, the Moruya Jazz Festival
Narooma Blues Festival & the Thredbo Blues Festival.
• Founder of the band Blue Murder - see under Peter Rabbit Rich on My Space.
Playing at major festivals such as Thredbo Blues & Great Southern Blues.
