Our latest community project is
The “Computers for Aussie Kids” will provide hundreds of refurbished computers to the children and young people of low income families across all the communities that SORT is located in. We aim to boost their success at school and to ensure they have access to the learning programs and government and community services that are increasingly being delivered online.
To do this, we need your support. Over the next six months we want to:
Collect donations of used computers from households and businesses,
Refurbish them to Microsoft standards, with fully-licensed Microsoft Windows and Office software on each,
Package them with refurbished monitor, keyboard and mouse, and
Distribute the systems to the children and young people of low income families of the local area, through schools and community organizations.
Of course, we will dismantle the non-working computers for E-safe recycling .
