Silver Sound was established in 2008 by local muso Ben Davies with the objective of offering illawarra bands quality, affordable recordings. The last 7 years has seen Silver Sound grow a
strong reputation for producing recordings of a high standard, and now sees bands from Sydney and interstate travel to record at Silver Sound.

The studio is made up of an acoustically designed live room, control room and guitar amp isolation space. The studio is equipped with a large variety of microphones from; Rode, Beesneez, Audix, EV, and the racks hold gear from Universal Audio, Focusrite and TLAudio. We also have in-house drum kits, guitars,
tube amps and a piano.


"I started the studio to help the local bands of the Illawarra and it's just grown from there. I want to help bands and give them the opportunity to have great recordings that are on par with Australia's best at an affordable price.
