Situated in the charming coastal town of Port Fairy, The Stag Inn was built in 1847 by Captain John Saunders. Over the years the Stag Inn has served several functions: an assembly room for the borough, temperance boarding house, boarding school and guest house.
Now known as Seacombe House, we accommodate a range of guests in our cottages, Comfort Inn motel suites, and guest rooms in the original building.
Guests frequently comment on how much they appreciate the charm, warmth, cleanliness, freshness, atmosphere and value for money at Seacombe House
The original ball room has been restored to capture some of the flavour of well-to-do social life of the Victorian era. It is known as the Bolderwood Room these days, and provides conference facilities in an attractive period setting.
The Stag Restaurant on premises offers dinner with a contemporary menu under the original pressed metal ceiling.
