Since gaining accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist in 2011 I have predominantly worked in chronic disease and injury management. My passion and thirst for knowledge, particularly in the field of cardiovascular and respiratory disease, has seen my attendance at a number of professional development courses.
In 2014 I decided to extend my scope of practice beyond that of Exercise Physiology and subsequently enrolled in a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Newcastle. My third year placement in the Emergency Department of Manning Rural Referral Hospital in conjunction with the level one sports trainer qualification has sparked my interest in the management of acute musculoskeletal conditions and the additional career pathways on offer.
I look forward to my fourth year placements in 2017 and the exponential increase in my practical skills as an aspiring Physiotherapist.
