Russo Estate was inspired by the fact that 'Houdini' the famous escapologist, was the first aviator to fly in Australia - and he flew from Holden Road Diggers Rest.
March 18, 1910 at dawn Houdini flew his Voisin biplane from a paddock over our land and gum trees, where our vineyard now grows.
