The RMIT UAS Team is provides an environment for students to gain experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The team focuses on designing, building and developing multi-rotor and fixed wing platforms for research projects and competitions. Members can gain experience in composite manufacturing, electronics, structures, dynamics and control, safety and airspace regulations, as well as sensor integration and autonomy.

Members can also receive multi-rotor flight training from an experienced Team Pilot via flight simulator and one of the team's multi-rotor platforms. They will also gain experience in planning autonomous missions and operating on-board sensors.

The team supports Final Year Thesis Projects across a range of disciplines, as well as post-graduate students.

The Bundoora team is aimed at 3rd and 4th year engineering students, with projects available for a range of interests and many ways for them to count towards your coursework.

Our city based team offers an easy way to dive into the drone world: either from a manufacturing or software point of view.

The team is completely voluntary and no membership payments are required. Meetings are held once a week, and projects often run over holidays too. If you're interested, send us a message or email us at uas@rmit.edu.au
