How many times have you woken up on a Monday morning after a weekend on the water, only to feel like youve spent a session in a boxing ring? It’s easy to see why when you look at today’s complex water ski designs and subsequent physical impact on your body.
According to Water Ski Mag (2012), ankle injuries are the most common water ski injury due to the fixed position of the boot. After two serious ankle injuries in our family we started riding freeboards more than normal water skies. Over time we started riding wider freeboard’s to lessen the strain on our bodies. A ‘Ridiculous Water Ski’ with its boot-free design, allows total foot rotation lessoning the risk of ankle injury and overall strain on the joints.
Its custom, simple design is very easy to ride – even for beginner water-skiers …. This is due to its flat bottom and construction from premium AA Grade Australian Marine Ply: these two features help to reduce drag in the water and create a simple, light ski that is easy to use and easy on the body

I have been a social skier for over 30 years and loved every minute of it until 10 years ago when I found I was having a lot of trouble holding on to the rope when being pulled from the water.
