Regional Business Unearthed (RBU) is a new online business series, looking at ‘unearthing’ regional business heroes. It will provide an intimate insight into some of regional Australia’s leading entrepreneurs with the intention of shedding more light on the vast opportunities in these areas.

The content will cater for a broad range of demographics from start-ups, SMEs, CEOs to established business owners, their families and their management teams. It will break the stereotypical business news format by providing a ‘road show’ approach where we visit and feature various towns across NSW and beyond, honing in on their business leaders / heroes and their stories.

Each episode will feature a number of segments and business heroes and will be available for download from The RBU website following filming.

The pilot episode will be filmed in February 2014 in Wagga Wagga, NSW. It will feature Neil Druce from the Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory and Judy Galloway from Sureway. Blue Clay Productions will spend a few days with each hero filming them in a range of different environments (work, family, social etc).
The filming will culminate in a live audience event in Wagga Wagga which will be hosted by Jeremy Hutchings. Jeremy will spend time with each hero on The RBU couch before a Q&A session with our live studio audience. Two budding entrepreneurs will also be showcased through a segment filmed prior and at the live event. They will then battle it out in our ‘Cherry Picker Pitch’ segment where the winner will walk away with a mentoring and marketing package.
