Phoenix Yoga offers you the opportunity to practice Yoga asana in a variety of different formats. Yoga asana is the physical practice of yoga developed to remove stress or tension from the body to promote health allowing for the creation of an altered state of awareness through meditation. Asana is one of the eight limbs or paths of practicing yoga and when combined with the second limb, Pranayama or control of breath, allows the practitioner find stillness, uniting the body and mind.

This harmonising of the body and mind enables you to redirect your life force and if practiced regularity with love and dedication becomes a journey of self discovery and understanding of your true self. This physical practice of yoga is not about pushing through your physical limitations, it is about connecting to your needs bringing the mind to stillness and joy.
