The Bala Murugan Temple was created by Saiva Maha Sabai of WA (Inc) in 1996. The temple Kumbabishekam took place on 11th of May 2008. Sri Bala Murugan Temple was formed by Tamil Hindus from Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia and Singapore residing in WA, whose objectives are:

-To provide a place of worship of Hinduism of Western Australia who wish to practice religion in accordance with traditional Saiva Akama methods
-To arrange for and provide facilities for Hinduism and cultural education
-To organize, develop and promote Hinduism culture throughout WA.

Perth Bala Murugan temple is situated in a four-acre land at Mandogalup, Western Australia, in a peaceful rural setting, about 27 km south of the Perth city and 6 km east of Indian Ocean coast of Cockburn Sound. The temple front view descend through the beautiful farm land to the Kwinana freeway, which runs north-south at a distance adequate to isolate any traffic noise interfering with the temple atmosphere; and green high land rising eastward from the freeway. North and south side covered with natural bush land. The Temple is located 35 km from Perth City.
