• Since being established in 2013, Perth Blood Institute has become one of the fastest growing private services in Australia, with a focus on providing outstanding patient care with an ethical and sustainable approach.
• The Perth Blood Institute is a charitable, not for profit research institute with membership from various disciplines including clinical haematology, clinical pharmacy, nursing, allied health and clinical research staff who are involved in the care of people diagnosed with blood conditions, including blood cancers, bleeding and clotting disorders.
• The care of people with blood disorders is complex and has long been a focus of many clinicians and support staff who work with the Perth Blood Institute. An integral part of providing the highest standard of care to people diagnosed with blood disorders is the ability to involve them in ‘state of the art’ clinical trials and translational research.
• Clinical trials in particular can offer people with blood disorders the most up to date treatment options, which have been developed through extensive clinical research.
