Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival 3.1

Our 2015 UNESCO Award winning Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival will be celebrating it’s 25th year in 2016. The Festival has grown to become ”one of South Australia’s leading arts festivals,” said Mrs Helen Rice, Adelaide United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Chairperson.
Our festival celebrates the literary and arts heritage of Penola, the fine wines of Coonawarra and its premium regional produce.
The Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival Association Incorporated is a voluntary, non-profit organisation. Since its inception, our Festival has attracted major events and exhibitions that appeal a broad demographic. This is a festival that truly has no age limit.
Our Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival was one of four recipients honoured by UNESCO, Adelaide Chapter ‘for an outstanding contribution to the regional cultural life of South Australia, promoting all facets of the Arts, and cultural tourism.’
In 2013 our Festival was awarded an South Australian Regional Award, from Brand South Australia. This award highlights individuals or organisations that have made significant contribution to their region and the State over a twelve month period.
