OPERA FOR EVERYONE

Opera is changing and it’s an exciting time for audiences of all ages to try new experiences and new venues. In 2015, audiences experienced a range of delights from the classic La traviata to an afternoon of pop-up performances with Cloud Song at Cloudland in the Valley. There was opera outdoors at Jimbour and the highly acclaimed season of Bernstein’s Candide. As part of the Brisbane Festival, Macbeth was staged in the Playhouse Theatre and Renée Fleming performed in the Concert Hall to a packed and wildly appreciative audience.

In Season 2016, we invite you to join OperaQ on a round-the-world adventure to 20th Century Japan with Madama Butterfly, sunny Spain with The Barber of Seville, a confronting new realisation of Grimm’s Snow White and the Broadway splendour of our concert staging of Kiss Me, Kate. Our Season 2016 also offers a range of events and experiences that will allow you and your friends the opportunity to dress up, socialise and get close to the artists.

Join us in 2016 for new shows, new venues and new experiences
