Established in 1974 in the Opal capital of the world, Coober Pedy, and now situated in Adelaide’s iconic Beehive Corner, We Adelaide’s oldest and largest opal and diamond specialist.

Having Adelaide’s first front of house workshop we provide an exclusive experience enabling our clients to watch the art of opal cutting and jewellery manufacturing.

A second generation family owned and operated business run by father-son team John and Mike Saj-Rynes.

John, a true pioneer within the opal industry is one of Australia’s most experienced opal cutters. Having trained over 14 apprentices over his career, his knowledge and enthusiasm is recognised within the industry.

Mike has grown the business to now specialise in custom handmade diamond engagement rings. His personable nature has allowed him to build strong relationships and he is passionate about providing a genuine customer experience.

Both John and Mike enjoy working closely with each other, providing an entertaining and original experience while building the brand and family tradition that is respectfully known as the Opal Diamond Factory.
