Details

The NSW Line Dance Ball is an annual fund raising event in aid of Ronald McDonald House Westmead.

All funds raised go towards the refurbishment and maintenance of the current house at Westmead. In the past, the Ball has raised annually between $18,000 and $22,000. To date, these funds have helped to build a new roof for the house and to refurbish 4 family kitchenettes for example.

The Ball is organised by a Committee of volunteers under the "leadership/guidance" of Margaret Emery, who until early this year, was an employee of Ronald McDonald House Westmead.

The Committee are responsible for organising the funds required to run the Ball each year, as well as for the production of the Dance playlist or programme.

The playlist is developed from Request lists submitted by Instructors and Dancers. The most popular dances are placed on the Playlist so as to appeal to the diverse geographical demography of the attendees, as well as to accommodate the different level of dancer who attend.
