Nellen 2.15

The North East Local Learning and Employment Network (NELLEN) is one of 31 Victorian Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLENs). The LLENs are a Victorian Government initiative which have a core focus on improving participation, engagement, attainment and transition outcomes for young people aged 10 to 19 years within designated geographical boundaries.
In addition, there is a particular focus on young people who are at risk of disengaging, or who have already disengaged from education and training and are not in meaningful employment. LLENs achieve these objectives by bringing together education providers, industry, community, individual and government organisations to build sustainable partnerships that support improved education and transition outcomes for young people aged 10 to 19 years.
NELLEN was incorporated on 15th March 2002 and covers the local government areas of the City of Wodonga and the Shires of Alpine, Indigo and Towong (Region 23). NELLEN receives funding from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD).
