Mundy & Sons meat wholesalers are a long established Tasmanian Butchery business, we are a paddock to plate operation with a very good reputation. Our current farms are Ashburton located near Hobart at Brighton and Bona Vista in the Midlands and we have continually been in the business of farming and selling meat since 1901.

Mundy & Sons supply Tasmanian meat and meat products including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, venison, game and smallgoods. Offering portion controlling and value added products to our customers and we are famous for our smallgoods especially our natural wood smoked hams which are produced year round.

We have proven ourselves to be capable of successfully fulfilling large contracts in both quality of product and also timely and efficient delivery. We work with our customers, be they a fine dining restaurant or an institution to assist them especially at times of crisis to ensure that they continue to operate well and deliver good service.

We pride ourselves as a business that both cares for our customers and one that understands the meat industry with all its seasonal variations. We have a commitment to work with and support other local Tasmanian businesses in our supply chain.

We are extremely community minded and have served on the Boards of Australian Meat Industry and Tasmanian Small Business Council for decades. Have run various projects such as Empowering Women in the Meat Industry, Butcher Training events and the very successful Tasmanian Beef Label Project which identified local meat for consumers.

We offer our customers the opportunity to support sustainability by local meat products and thus have a low carbon footprint.

COMPANY HISTORY
Mr Rex Mundy - founder of Mundy & SonsMundy & Sons Meat Wholesalers was established in 1977 by Rex Mundy with his sons John and Leigh, and daughter Katrina. The Mundy family have operated within the Tasmanian meat industry since 1901.

The continued success of the business is due to a very strong and current knowledge of the Australian Meat Industry and the attentive management by family members and the dedicated staff.
