Monk Music Tuition 2.05

Jess and Cyrus Monk are both high-school students who take great interest the industry of music and constantly work with industry professionals such as Martin Hemingway (Melb Uni), Sally Bourne (Les Miserable, Shane Warne, Moonshadow) Jaz Flowers ( The Voice, Hairspray), Simon Gleeson (Les Miserable, Phantom of the Opera) and Luke Hunter (MD: Jersey Boys, Grease, Beauty and the Beast)

Jessica has been training in classical vocals for over 7 years while now musical theater/contemporary vocals have become her main passion. She is completing her Unit 3/4 music this year. She has also completed her Grade 5 AMEB Piano exam with about 10 years of piano training under her belt.

2014 has seen and will see her achieve many feats such as solo singing the National Anthem at the Australian National Road Cycling championships (SBS) performing as a featured ensemble member in The Rob Guest Endowment's performance of Beauty and the Beast alongside Rob Mills, Nancy Hayes, David Harris, Patrice Tipoki and many more names. She has received a principal vocal and dance role in the Victorian State School Spectacular and will be featuring in an Australian Feature Film as a solo vocalist later in the year,
2013 saw her perform as a guest vocalist at the Victorian Teachers Awards Night at Crown Casino, participate in a Musical Theatre Showcase Concert (Starbound9) and perform as a Solo vocalist and principal dancer in the Victorian State School Spectacular (Channel 7).

Cyrus has recently completed his Grade 8 AMEB Saxophone exam receiving honours (A) and VCE Unit 3/4 Music as a year 10 student. He is frequently paid to play background music on guitar and saxophone at local events.

He has also completed Grade 4 AMEB Trombone, Grade 4 AMEB Clarinet and Grade 2 AMEB Trumpet. Cyrus has been teaching Saxaphone for two years.
