My name is Caitlin Marita, the face behind Miss Marita. Miss Marita was officially established in Oct 2014 and is based in Mackay, North Queensland.

My love for sewing started at the young age of 10 when my mum enrolled me into private sewing lessons outside of school, learning all the basic skills and foundations required to sew. My sewing skills were then continued and advanced as I went into high school, electing all the home economics subjects where possible.

After graduating high school, I attended CQ University to gain my Bachelor of Learning Management. I am now currently teaching year 1 in a local primary school, with plans to one day in the future make the big move to high school and fulfil my dream as a home economics teacher, sharing my love for sewing with other students.

In the meantime, I'm sewing in my spare time (during school holidays) and am enjoying this journey of sewing and creating unique handmade pieces for my friends, family and all my followers.
