About Marks Mechanics

Contact Details & Working Hours

Details

We started business in february 1991. The first five years I worked as a mobile mechanic . In 1996 we built our building and started the workshop. Our business grew each year employing three apprentices . One first , second and third year bringing the staff to four.We joined Repco Autherised Service (RAS) in 1997 and we have never looked back, adopting "best practice" policies at all times.
As our business developed over time ,we naturally looked at good
practice and structure to continue the business up and forward. When the business concept "Premium" was released at the New Zealand national convention, this was a good fit for us. Premium has assisted our business with understanding staff, customer and
business issues . Turning challenges into opportunities which leads to a better working environment and lifestyle for all in our workshop. Our staff participate with other RAS members in both work and social activities. We enjoy having stable staff with long term service. We currently employ 2 apprentices, one 2nd year & one 4th year, both are progressing well. This complements our four qualified technicians ,two of which are LPG qualified. With substantial training available through the RAS network we are able to service and maintain the latest petrol & diesel vehicles with confidence.
Marks Mechanics strive for customer satisfaction , so adopting procedures insures a quality product and experience for all .Each vehicle has a 62 point and in February 2010 we
installed the Safe-T-Stop system, which alows us to carry out a dynamic test on the brakes & suspension. We carry out this test when we are doing saftey checks at no extra charge when we are doing a saftey check.
Our staff are trained for front counter greeting and sales.
Our workshop manager Greg Mcdonald has been with us for
over 15 years, he has a friendly and professional manor, he is good with our team members leading them in the right direction. Greg enjoys those mechanical problems that most mechanics have given up on. Seeing them through to completion. On the way building knowledge and respect with the
staff.
As part of the Premium service training ,we have progressed through many training modules, techical & customer related. Resulting with new practices and procedures which increases
production and staff empowerment . This in turn leads to less staff dependency on management , having guidelines and role descriptions for the staff to follow.
As part of my commitment to our group and our business , we take a staff member and their partner to the national
dealer convention . State conferences are
never missed, to ensure we catch up with our
friends and keep the network alive.
We like to Participate in as many RAS activities as
possible leads to better networking between
members. More knowledge is shared which
benefits all.
We are proud to be a part of the most dynamic
independent automotive repair group in Australia.
