Margaret Tucker firmly believes that when you protect and nurture our young generation you protect and nurture their families and communities. We aim to build family capacity and responsibility as the most important lifelong support system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
We recognise that family and land is the foundation of the spiritual, cultural and emotional infrastructure of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and this is why we have created a home like environment that is safe, nurturing and culturally respectful.
Our hostel has a strong focus on education and encourages all young people to develop their life skills through attending school. Our hostel staff provide quality case management support, cultural guidance and assistance to connect to families, in addition to having a safe place to stay.
