I've been making cakes for family and friends for many years now and each time I do I get told.. you should..... so eventually.. I did, and here it is.. a face book page just for my cakes!

Decorating cakes is a hobby. I have always baked and after finding a very small add in a local paper for cake decorating classes, I took it further and haven't looked back. I still attend classes to not only learn new things, share ideas, get ideas but also because I've met some wonderful ladies with similar interests.

The name: Made with Mud.. this is a name I thought of around 2008/9 when I first started decorating. It has been written on a post-it note and stuck on my work desk ever since. Well, until I decided to make it a real.

I make celebration cakes for family, friends and friends of friends by referral only. I'm not the greatest of decorators - trust me, I'm aware, but I'm happy to give things a go and am not afraid to ask if I can add my own changes to peoples ideas. I also have a very picky, particular and sometimes extremely annoying 'quality controller' in Adam. If he thinks it can be done better, he'll let me know... just don't ask him to do it himself!
