So why Lulu and Dolly's? Lulu and Dolly's is a family business and this is also the nickname for Kim's two sons Lewis and Leon and a great memory, so we couldn't think of a better choice! Kim is a fully qualified Patissiere and Chocolatier, specialising in hand made bespoke chocolate celebration cakes for your special occasion.
She has the greatest pleasure in producing bespoke cakes for her clients, from Birthdays and Engagements, to Weddings and Christenings. Using only the finest Belgian or Italian couveture, and natural local produce, Kim creates chocolate cakes for any celebration. the start...

Kim’s love of baking and all things ‘Cake and Chocolate’ started at home in the UK with her French mother’s encouragement. By the tender age of 3 with her own rolling pin-wooden spoon set she spent hours playing with any pastry or cake mix her mother had left after baking for the family…

the education...

This passion grew and she trained as a Chef when she left school, eventually training as a patissier with Le Cordon Bleu, going on to study culinary management. From there she trained as a Professional Chocolatier, including Quality Assurance with Ecole Chocolat in Canada, graduating with honours. She then went on to complete her master programme in France with the renowned chocolate house Valhrona.

She studied the fine art of Sculpting Pure Chocolate under inventor of the art himself, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Jean-Francois Castagne who also happens to be the French ambassador of the largest chocolate company in the world, Barry Callebaut.

She was taught Air Brushing by the famous Dawn Butler, the inventor of her own airbrush systems and has also studied confectionary under the now retired, Burt Muller.

the experience...

Experienced working in French Patisseries, Catering companies, Bakeries, Pastry kitchens and Chocolataries, throughout the UK, Spain and Australia. Living and travelling throughout the world she has never passed the opportunity to sample the goods on offer in each of the country’s bakeries. After raising her two sons Lewis and Leon or you may know them as Lulu and Dolly, it led to the desire to create her own bespoke Cake and Chocolate Business.
