The Lower Lakes Stockmans Challenge: Over 40 competitors ranging from some of Australia's best and most experienced to some up-and-coming local junior riders will be divided into 6 colour groups which will compete in different events at the same time. So there will always be something to see: follow your favorite event 6 times, or follow your favorite competitor through each event; or just watch a little bit of everything. The Preliminary Events including Bareback Obstacle Course, Stock (cattle) Handling, Horse Shoeing, Whip Crack Course, and Pack Horse. Start around 08:00am Friday with multiple events running simultaneously all day. On Saturday the preliminaries continue up to about lunch time, then all riders will compete in the Cross Country event from 2:00pm. After the Cross Country the scores will be collated and the top 6 men, 4 women and 4 junior competitors will advance to the Finals on Sunday.

The Finals: On Sunday morning the presentations are made to the top place-getters from all of the preliminary events held on Friday and Saturday. After that we start with the Junior Final which is a time trial and will determine the Junior Legend. Next will be the Ladies Final which will decide the Ladies Legend: this is a fast and difficult Heritage Horse Catch where the ladies have 4 minutes to catch a horse in a very large arena! The Mens Preliminary Final is next - the mens Heritage Horse Catch, same action as for the ladies, but this is no easy task. And then will be the Mens Final - where the 2015 Legend of the Lower Lakes will be decided in a fast and furious 8 second Poley Saddle Rough Ride. Stay around for the Finals Presentations and then have your chance to buy one of our Wild horses at our Auction straight after the presentations.

The Bush Festival: All three days, includes the Legends Ute Muster on Saturday and SA Working Draught Horses Saturday and Sunday; see Whip Cracking demonstrations, trade displays, free children's games, a petting zoo and free face painting, fabulous food stalls, fantastic merchandise, music and entertainment.
