Little Guppies Daycare 3.23

Hello and welcome to LITTLE GUPPIES DAYCARE Facebook Page.

We are a private home daycare located in Shoal Point and we care for babies and children under school age in a safe and nurturing home environment. It is run from my parents’ home in The Shoals Estate, with a large open park around the corner and beach access at the end of the street.

Our fee is $8 per hour, per child, for a minimum of 7 hours per day, so a 7 hour day is just $56 per child. We supply all bedding, sheets, blankets, towels, bibs etc., and sunscreen, the things we require you to bring for your little one is a healthy lunchbox, nappies and bottles/formula, spare clothes, shoes and a sun-hat.

When your child is away sick, or you take holidays, we only charge half price fees for those days. When we ourselves take holidays (with advanced notice) we do not charge any fees!!

I am a Registered Carer through Centrelink therefore I am able to offer a receipt which enables you to claim the CCB (Child Care Benefit) but as I am a stand-alone-carer I cannot offer a receipt for CCR Child Care Rebate.

The Little Guppies Daycare team consists of myself (Kate) with the help of my lovely mum (Ros) and also my dear Nan (Dorny) who lives in the home with my parents, 3 generations of knowledge and hugs for your little ones.

My mum has over 25 years experience with babies and children, she has done home daycare twice before (when my brother was a baby and again when we were in primary school) she has worked as a primary school Teachers Aide and home schooled us kids for around 3 years when we were younger.

I am 23 and a qualified Graphic Designer, I love babies and children and enjoy teaching them how to be creative. Apart from working as a Graphic Designer I have also worked as a Teachers Aide in the Creative Arts Department at Mackay Christian College.

Here at Little Guppies Daycare we promise to provide a loving stable environment for your children, we are interested in their care & safety and we love watching them grow and learn. Just like at home we set boundaries here at Little Guppies that the children follow and we focus on teaching manners, friendship and respect for their daycare friends and we highly encourage creative play. We are fully air-conditioned, we have a large assortment of toys, books, puzzles, craft, PlayDoh, painting, plus outside trampoline (covered with shade-sail), pool, water play, bubbles, bikes/scooters and the list goes on.

We feel very blessed to be situated in a lovely community beachside estate where the children can play and learn in a fully fenced "home-away-from-home" environment where we can also offer something unique and the children can experience playtime in the open park to fly a kite or kick a ball and also build sandcastles at the beach or search for hidden treasures in the sand.

Because we only have a small group each day, of 4 under school age, this enables us to spend time one-on-one time with the little ones to ensure they feel safe and happy and cater for their individual needs.

We are first aid qualified including asthma and anaphylaxis, everyone in the home has a blue card, and we are fully insured.

Unfortunately we cannot offer school drop-off or pick-up and we apologize for this inconvenience.
