The Ladybird Lane Philosophy

I believe that children are all unique individuals who need to be valued and respected as the people that they are. I recognise the importance and value of play as a crucial learning tool for children
and endeavour to provide a safe and varied environment where children feel secure to explore their capabilities. As a carer I recognise the need for children to be exposed to different situations
and need to be given the freedom to test the boundaries of those experiences in a controlled environment. I endeavour to support
children to develop their independence and critical thinking ability whilst providing the nurturing environment and security that they
need.

I believe that the relationship between the children, their family and myself as the carer is paramount and will always remain approachable and encourage conversation surrounding the child and
their learning experiences. I will also encourage the children to become aware of and share the cultural and spiritual aspects of their home life. I encourage and value respect, consideration and diversity and
will guide the children in this through positive interactions and experiences.
