Our aim is to develop mind, body and character through traditional martial arts for the modern world.
The Canberra Kodokan Masubayashi-ryu Cummings Karate Dojo was opened in March 2009 in order to bring the Matsubayashi-ryu (Shorin-ryu), one of the oldest traditional Okinawan styles of Karate-do to Canberra.
The Cummings Dojo teaches both Karate-do and Kobudo. It aims—through the development of both physical and mental skills—to improve fitness, discipline, strength, coordination, confidence and dynamic self-defence skills.
We offer 4 regular classes a week with specific classes for children, beginners and adults despite age, gender or ability.
