Founded in Mt Garnet North Queensland by Paddy and Kerry Knight over thirteen years ago Knights Transport is a family owned and operated transport business.
Born in Innisfail and raised in Cooktown, Managing Director Paddy Knight has been involved in transport & earthmoving for over thirty years and has operated throughout Cape York, Far North Queensland, the Bowen Basin and Western Queensland. The Knight name is well-known and highly regarded throughout heavy industry in Queensland and is synonymous with dependable professional client service and support.
Specializing in bulk haulage, earthmoving and mining support logistics Knights Transport has a fleet of modern, well maintained road trains and earthmoving equipment. Capable of operating fully autonomously in remote regions, Knights also has all of the infrastructure needed to be self-sufficient in any environment such as mobile workshops, accommodation units, portable store rooms, staff amenities and support vehicles.
Knights Transport regards safety and professional conduct at all times as paramount and has well-established Safety, Health, Training Management Systems. Further to this Knights also has on staff a tertiary qualified Heath, Safety and Training Advisor to review, develop and oversee changes and improvements to these systems. Knights Transport is also Fatigue Management and Maintenance Management accredited through the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme and is independently audited to ensure industry best practice.
