Details

Kingsley Grove is a family owned and operated business, established in 1998 by Michael and Patricia Berry. Built in the estate tradition, the first plantings were made in 1998 with the winery being built in 2001. The allowed the first commercial vintage to completed in 2002.

Kingsley Grove take great pride in operating a self-sustaining winery with the concept of From Berry to Bottle. This means that they grow all the grapes used in winemaking on site and use their modern, fully equipped winery to create a wide range of wines. This allows them to make a range that includes traditional wines and more innovative styles that are designed to suit the Queensland climate.

They grow a wide selection of grape varieties including 5 red and 6 white. From these they have produced medal winning wines, and continue to innovate and develop their list which includes varietals, blends, sparkling wines and a selection of fortified wines.

Mike and Pat have recently been joined by their son, Simon and his wife Jo, to add to the Kingsley Grove story and carry the family operation into the future. Simon has been involved in Kingsley Grove’s winemaking for the many years but is now back into the role full time. He has a great deal of passion for winemaking, and is always happy to discuss the wines they offer in more detail.

Kingsley Grove’s cellar door is open for wine tasting 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm and on Saturday’s and Sunday’s serve Pat’s famous wood-fired pizzas. Tours of their working winery are often available by the winemaker. They can also cater for groups and is a fabulous venue for parties, contact them to book in advance.

Kingsley Grove’s exceptional wines can also be sampled at Taste South Burnett and can be purchased online and in selected Kingaroy and South Burnett restaurants/motels. They presently attend a number of wine and food festivals including annual events in Kingaroy, Brisbane, Toowoomba Gold Coast and Maryborough.
