KAW Engineering is a leading engineering service provider in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Our primary business is in delivering quality welding services. We also offer a variety of related support services that strengthen our business model and ensure that we can meet and exceed our customer’s expectations. We operate in many diverse environments from offshore oil rigs, to unmanned assets in the heart of the desert and directly in our Karratha based workshop.

KAW Engineering has a long history in the Pilbara, trading as Karratha Aluminium Welding since the late 80’s. Our original niche was in delivering unparalleled fabrication quality in the Aluminium and other specialty metals market. As we grew it became apparent that we needed to rebrand to better represent the range of services that we offered. In 2012 we combined the initials of our original name to become KAW Engineering (pronounced ‘core’).

Logo:
A logo says a lot about a company and in rebranding we wanted to symbolise the strength of our business and the industries that we serve:

Mining:
The orange base in our logo represents the charred earth of the Pilbara and the mining industry focused on digging up the treasures that it contains. The undisputed king of the Pilbara, the mining industry has transformed Australia and the way we work forever. We have been there as the industry has grown and developed doing our bit to keep the tonnes flowing.

Marine:
The blue centre in our logo represent the sea and associated marine industry. As aluminium is our history so too is our relationship with the local marine industry. Our expertise with corrosion resistant materials has been a vital resource to the local maritime industry for many years.

Oil & Gas:
The sweetheart of the Karratha-Dampier story, the Oil & Gas industry is a beacon of triumph for Australian ingenuity and a symbol of pride throughout our economy. Our commitment to quality and service delivery has ensured that we stay amongst the action as this industry continues to mature and evolve along the Pilbara coastline.

Construction:
The iconic stacked pyramid structure of our logo symbolises our commitment to successful project completion in the construction industry. We have been involved in the construction of some of the most distinctive building projects in the region and continue to strive for success in the challenging and rewarding field.

Services:
The curved arc through the centre of our logo is symbolic of a typical fillet weld profile. Welding services and fabrication has been and remains, a core strength of our business. We recognise that just as a good weld holds fragmented pieces together, so too the service and industrial support business we facilitate are the glue that keeps our community strong. We are committed to supporting these industries and ensure they receive the focus and attention that they deserve.
