Kaata Tidje is a company based on my vision for a more functional workplace and community in the culturally diverse world of modern day Australia. Kaata Tidje is Aboriginal and literally means to learn, to understand…and to reflect. It is about a journey of growth, and how you apply it in your life. My journey is a part of the modern journey of the indigenous traditional owners of the land. I strive to bring others through the process of learning and understanding of the Aboriginal culture so that they can take this back to their lives and reflect upon this experience. Keeping the process in a historical, guilt free zone that gives everyone the opportunity to investigate both sides of the story of my people.
My company is unique in affecting documented growth in behavioural change that is unmatched by other providers. I take my participants through cross cultural awareness, competence and intelligence in an engaging interactive two day course that has a positive and profound effect on most attendants.
Social licence to operate “A positive corporate reputation” that reflects awareness and sensitivity in its approach to “The cultural and historical context of the community and the operation” is the aim of a robust corporate engagement strategy; particularly in the culturally diverse country that Australia is today. I am passionate in facilitating responsible companies, organisations and agencies in reaching these goals.
My experience in this arena in the public and private sector is enhanced with my personal experiences as an Aboriginal (Noongar) woman and my work in Native title, Native Heritage, Indigenous business and Indigenous health.
