Island Leisure Resort is a multi-award-winning tropical resort with Polynesian-style burés located on Magnetic Island. We are ideally located in Nelly Bay, only 50 metres from the beach, 150 metres from the supermarket and shops, and 1 kilometre from the ferry terminal and harbour complex.

Cafés and restaurants are within easy walking distance and the island bus stops at our door. With only 18 burés, you will never get that crowded feeling. There is plenty of room at the pool and always times available to play tennis.
Our reception has a tour desk to help you select the most suitable activities and tours to maximise the enjoyment of your holiday, and has complimentary high-speed wireless internet. Our burés are perfectly designed for the relaxed tropical holiday. All burés have a queen-size bed and our family burés have bunk beds for children. All burés are self-contained, have a large digital TV, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and private patios for those balmy tropical nights. Linen is supplied and burés are serviced weekly. Two of the burés are disabled friendly, with ramps to the doors and open showers with extra grab rails.
The patios of each buré provide a very relaxed setting to sip a drink, have breakfast, or just enjoy the surroundings. Set in lush tropical gardens, the resort has an array of wildlife including beautiful birds, curlews, rock wallabies, possums and the occasional koala. Our large lagoon pool incorporates a spa and 'beach area' for small children, and there is plenty of room for guests to relax. The poolside BBQ area is a great place of enjoyment for our guests. Relax by the pool, cook up some exotic fare, and sip an ice cold wine or beer in good company. Life doesn't get much better.

Overlooking the pool area is our games room and a licensed kiosk serving light food and beverages. Play a game of pool, table hockey or table tennis. Choose a book from our library and relax by the pool. An array of toys and board games are available for younger children. Adjacent to the games room is a guest laundry with coin-operated washers, dryers and ironing facilities.

Next to the pool is our full-sized tennis court, which is floodlit for night play. Use of the court including racquets and balls is available free to our guests, except for a nominal charge for night play.
Our Crafty Tackers art room is located next to the games room. It is open from 1pm to 4pm daily and is perfect wet weather fun for children 3 years and over. Paint, paper and colouring activities are free for resort guests. Plaster, canvas and other activities are also available and range from $5.00 to $10.00. Art smocks are provided. Children must be accompanied by a parent.
