Hinky Dinks is a bar, a restaurant and a haven from the crazy world outside. The name is a reverent nod to the master of tiki, and inventor of the Mai Tai- Trader Vic. Trader Vic, with his love for Polynesian culture and flair for mixology pioneered a bright new age of cocktails. He understood that a good bar is an escape to another world where the hassles of the day-to-day are left at the door, the relentless drone of traffic is replaced by soft jazz melodies, and the logical progression of time is paused for just long enough to let us catch our breath.

With an emphasis on approachable wines and fun drinks, Hinky Dinks embodies the enthusiastic spirit of the burgeoning 50s cocktail culture. A culture that knew a cocktail wasn’t so much a drink as it was a fashion accessory. And that the Cocktail hour wasn’t so much a time, but more a mood – a defiant stance against the demands of the nine-to-five. It’s all about the difference between a glass of gin with an olive in it, and a Martini. The difference between a passing glance, and an invitation…
