Offering freelance services Harlen_hair Melbourne was founded by Sharah Speak in 2014 after building such a strong clientelle in the 15 years of her career Sharah created "Harlen Hair" named after her young daughter to focus her energy in delivering a forum where her clients could like and share their experiences and creations to a social platform.

Sharah has over 17 Years experience within the hair & fashion industry.

Starting her apprenticeship in a well sort after salon in Macquarie St Sydney at the age of 15 she excelled quickly in the world of hair. Relocating a year later to Melbourne and securing her career at ‘Wieselmann's salon, South Yarra’ Sharah took third place in woman’s cutting at Hbia Victoria and First place in the 'Team relay, hair up' early in her career. Being part of the Hair team with L’Oreal 6 years consecutively at L’Oreal Fashion week Melbourne she has a keen eye for detail and high fashion styles.
After attending ‘Vidal Sassoon’ in Santa Monica Sharah became head female senior stylist and conducted training salon apprentices to perfect their skill set. After 11 years on the floor she decided to dedicate her time to education in the industry.
Sharah’s passion for hair and dressing hair not only shows in her bridal styles and fashion forward creations but also her education role with ‘GHD Australia as Victorian/Tasmania educator. 3 years running Working along side the worlds most prestige’s hair stylist and fashion designers her experience in the industry is impeccable.

Working back stage at ‘Sydney Mercedes’s Fashion week’ assisting and managing hair styling for the high end fashion shows.

With publications in “Cosmo Bride” and featuring on Fashionising.com her bridal expertise is of an immaculate standard.

Sharah also runs hands on workshops and informative seminars. On the science of hair styling tools, cutting and styling hair.

Occasion hair is and has been Sharah’s obsession from a very young age, letting her creativity shine through making people feel beautiful….
